About Us
Here are the brains behind Mangsho, the people that bring you the best products at trade prices:
Bilal Miah | Managing Director
Bilal has over 15 years experience of working in the catering industry, initially as a waiter for his family business before starting 2 mobile cafeterias and a B2B catering company specialising in functions and weddings.
Over the past 4 years Bilal has been helping struggling Asian cuisines turn-around their businesses by focusing on quality of service through a variety of unique methods. His most notable success has been the turn-around of the Taj Mahal Indian Cuisine, Birmingham.
Paplu Saleem | Product Director
Paplu started his career as a Financial Analyst for a major investment bank before focusing his attention on the catering trade market.
He has travelled extensively through-out the world as a Product Director for a blue chip company helping negotiate deals with some of the worlds biggest distributors and suppliers.
Paplu's experience and knowledge is what allows Mangsho to skip the middle man and offer it's customers top quality products at trade prices.
Amina Ali | Finance Director
Amina started her career as an accountant in the retail market before going on to complete her ICAEW in 1999. Since then she has worked as an Accounts Manager, Investment Manager, and now as a Finance Director for Mangsho.
Mikael Anderson | Non- Executive Director
Mikael has been touted by many in the industry as "one of the UK's youngest serial entrepreneur".
He started his entrepreneurial career at the age of 17, in the IT market, and by the age of 22 had built up an empire of 8 companies before selling the group for a considerable amount. He now heads private equity firm Kovati, investing in small-to-medium sized businesses as well as funding seed ideas.
Since his appointment Mikael has already helped Mangsho design, develop and shape it's online presence and structure as well as network Mangsho with valuable contacts.
Mikael's business acumen and knowledge is invaluable to Mangsho being able to continue to offer it's customers great products at trade prices for years to come.
Talking of his appointment Mikael said:
"Mangsho is a unique business in that it's genuinely trying to offer it's customers a better deal. Instead of trying to under-cut it's competitors with special offers Mangsho offers it's products at purely trade prices, effectively offering it at prices it's competitors are likely to buy from their suppliers. So when customers shop at Mangsho, they know they're buying products at similar prices to what some of the other big boys are, and therefore they don't need to fork out on the mark-ups.
"I've had the opportunity to work with Amina, Bilal, and Paplu to architect Mangsho's online systems and I can tell you I see three young and energetic entrepreneurs in the making, and it's for those reasons that I'm delighted to help these guys achieve their goals".
